- Bird Watching and Park Cleanup - Hurricane Ike left his
imprint on the park and so we will be having a cleanup on
February 21st from 10 am to noon. But it won’t be all
work….this is the third Saturday of the month and that means the
Houston Audubon monthly bird survey will be starting at 8 am. So
come out early if you would like to do a little bird spotting…48
species were seen last month including our first Northern
Harrier. Then join the cleanup fun at 10 am.
Park along Ricecrest and meet
at “Stonehenge”. Wear comfortable clothing, a hat if you want,
and gloves. We will provide plastic trash bags and water.
